I was looking through a pile of comic books that I’ve collect over the past few years for reference, and boy! There was alot…
These are my Marvel/DC/Topcow/etc. comics. There’s Spiderman, X-men, Witchblade,tomb raider, spawn, darkness, Danger girl,the magdalena, Fathom and a lot more…Then there’s 2 large boxes of Mangas… a drawer full of artbooks…etc.
And through the pile of comic books, I found my form 4 art pieces, lo and behold…

Ah… Bring back memories… I was such a nerd back then… … ok, I still am, but that’s not the point. I was studying for a major exam during that time, and I got so tired of studying late into the night, that I decided to paint something. I used Poster colour with artline pen, I was very much into manga those days. I did 2 of them and insert them into my pencil box, which I made out of a plastic video tape container.
It looked alot like this, but transparent, and I can fit in my drawings on both side for display.
I’m currently searching for the best art style that suits me when I do comic… can’t wait to start, can’t wait to finish, can’t wait to publish it. Ahahaha… will talk more about it later. Till then, nite…
I did not win the blog4FT competition, but I am very certain I was one of the top 5 as they’ve called me to ask me what company I’m working for.
I join the competition under media category. The requirement for that category is ” any media company that is registered with the government”. Since I work in E-One Studio, under games and comics, registered under multiMEDIA super corridor, I decided to go for it. But the guy that called me said that he’s not sure and will call me back regarding this. Apparently what they expected of media is only comprised of media journalism, such as newspaper, tv, magazines…etc. He never called me back, I wrote a mail in and they never replied… it was the 6th mail in the expand of 2 months, and no one replied.
AT first I thought I should wait until the result of Blog4FT is out before I post anything new in the blog, but I’m killing my own traffic here!
Recently I just received a freelance job from Spain… I think… Unless those words are latin… Ok, I don’t know where the guy is from, but that’s not the point. The point is… Kaching!! I received USD100 from the job, another USD60 is coming in once I complete the whole set. It’s not much, but good enough to buy my miniature toys online! The client was introduced to me by Rizal (former classmate), just in time when the new toys are out. Link
I don’t get much freelance job because I don’t use to have a good computer at home to do graphics, but that’s all behind me now, I just bought a new PC! My Aunt sponsored me half the price of it, kewl… And Ernest is getting me a new Intous 4 Wacom – Large (Pen Tablet, for digital painting). Here’s the Specs – >
