About
Yvonne Yong

Early on in her life, Yvonne has no fear in conquering great heights of coconut trees or great depths of neighboring sewers and drains. Growing up catching poisonous insects and stealing fruits and chicks from her neighbors, she realizes she can do great things with her hands (She was never once caught in the act, nor was bitten by her prey… except mosquitoes and leeches) From then on, she tried mastering skills with her hands, building mud castles and hand made gifts for Christmas. Her cousin, Joyce Yap, an interior designer with a wicked skill on modeling miniature buildings, taught her how to use her hands for crafts, and trained her how to use her eyes for colours.
As the years went by, Yvonne slowly moved on from climbing trees to climbing torn-down apocalyptic buildings in games, and since then, a new interest was born.. An interest in art, game art. During her high school years, Yvonne met with Kok Wee, a talented artist who taught her how to draw and introduced her to comics and animations. And together, they went and enrolled themselves in a local Art college, The One Academy. After graduation, Kok Wee went overseas to further his studies while she stayed back to join the local art industry.
Yvonne landed herself in In-Fusion doing pre-production art for Ibn Battuta, the animated series. The team was lead by art director Milx, who taught and train her how to be a concept artist and how to draw perfect feet. After gaining confidence in her portfolio, she applied to a local games company, E-One Studio as a concept artist, and they’ve decided to let her join the team. Throughout the year in E-One Studio, Yvonne picked up yet another skill, 3D modeling and texturing, and constantly applying it in her work. Yvonne has served as a character designer, concept artist, 3D modeler and texture artist, as well as being the only female in her country who plays Warhammer table top (unless some other one pops out in the future)
These days, she spends alot of her time converting miniatures, playing warhammer, rock climbing, mountain biking and getting herself bruised, playing psp and computer games, draw regularly and get some good night sleep… as much as she can.
