Many of you have a vague idea of what I do… Well, today I’m going to show you what I just did… I’ve spend the whole afternoon to transform this

Crash site

They needed a crash site, and they need it fast… I’m only given today to finish the concept… They don’t need anything fancy, no colours, just black and white would do. Don’t have to add in any textures, just a plain sketch to convey what I have in mind.

I’m given a space to imagine, a space to create something spectacular, they gave me a 3D file and told me to go crazy. I won’t call this piece finish finished, but it’s more than enough for the 3D guys to see what I want.

I was looking through a pile of comic books that I’ve collect over the past few years for reference, and boy! There was alot…

These are my Marvel/DC/Topcow/etc. comics. There’s Spiderman, X-men, Witchblade,tomb raider, spawn, darkness, Danger girl,the magdalena, Fathom and a lot more…Then there’s 2 large boxes of Mangas… a drawer full of artbooks…etc.

And through the pile of comic books, I found my form 4 art pieces, lo and behold…

16 years old

Ah… Bring back memories… I was such a nerd back then… … ok, I still am, but that’s not the point. I was studying for a major exam during that time, and I got so tired of studying late into the night, that I decided to paint something. I used Poster colour with artline pen, I was very much into manga those days. I did 2 of them and insert them into my pencil box, which I made out of a plastic video tape container.

It looked alot like this, but transparent, and I can fit in my drawings on both side for display.

I’m currently searching for the best art style that suits me when I do comic… can’t wait to start, can’t wait to finish, can’t wait to publish it. Ahahaha… will talk more about it later. Till then, nite…
