Many of you have a vague idea of what I do… Well, today I’m going to show you what I just did… I’ve spend the whole afternoon to transform this

3D render

Into this

Crash site

Crash site

They needed a crash site, and they need it fast… I’m only given today to finish the concept… They don’t need anything fancy, no colours, just black and white would do. Don’t have to add in any textures, just a plain sketch to convey what I have in mind.

I’m given a space to imagine, a space to create something spectacular, they gave me a 3D file and told me to go crazy. I won’t call this piece finish finished, but it’s more than enough for the 3D guys to see what I want.

I love drawing…

Industrial training

Was planning to take a course on 3D, but my boss has other plans… He will be booking a classroom for me, and Chris is suppose to come out with the schedule and course. He said it’ll take 2 weeks to complete the lessons for modeling and texturing, it’s a 9 to 6 course, and he’ll be giving us assignments. lol, well, at least I still get paid… =P

1 year and 4 months

Lets see, I’ve been working here for more than a year now… almost a year and a half. Looking back at when I’ve started, I could say that I have come a long way. My work has greatly improved, and I don’t take as much time as I need to paint compare to a year ago. But what bothers me still is that I don’t think I have a particular style in painting, or am I wrong? Espeacially the characters, they differ from each other, is that a good thing or not? To have flexibility, to be able to create whatever I want, OR, to have an Identity, that shouts out THIS IS ORKACHAN’S STYLE! -_-”

Anyways, I’ve grown more in this year here, compared to that one year in Go-Fusion, though not much guidance here, but I can say that I’ve definately made a BIG leap. When I say not much guidance, I mean in art, but I learn alot from Chris on how to make a game… am greatful for what he has taught me.

On the side note… MY HP MINI IS NOT HERE YET… it’s been two weeks… when is it ever going to arrive? T_T

The Office

the office

The Office, the place where I spend most of my waking time in… 8 hours a day, 5 days a week… supplied with 2 flat screen monitors and a large Intous 3 to make my job easier. Oh… forgot to mention, I nab that 22 inch monitor from a colleague who has just resign. Muahahaha…. It’s a 8000:1

But nothing beats staying at home and bum out under the sun… I wish I can work from home…
